We’re looking for a passionate and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team and help pupils with Autism and additional needs build confidence, independence and a love for learning.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of school life — supporting pupils in the classroom and beyond, helping them engage, achieve and grow. From delivering tailored support to creating hands-on learning experiences, no two days are the same. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team who will support your development, giving you the tools and training to succeed and progress in your career.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging, creative lessons
  • Preparing learning materials and helping create stimulating environments
  • Promoting pupils’ emotional, social and physical wellbeing
  • Encouraging confidence, independence and positive engagement
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to deliver consistent support
  • Who We’re Looking For

    We’re seeking someone who:

  • Is calm, kind, and passionate about supporting young people
  • Is flexible, adaptable, and ready to contribute across a variety of roles
  • Works well as part of a team and values collaboration
  • Takes initiative and responds confidently to individual pupil needs
  • Essential Qualification: GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)

    Options Trent Acres School is an independent specialist school in rural Staffordshire for pupils with autism, trauma, attachment, anxiety, and other complex needs.

    We provide a nurturing, safe, and structured environment where pupils feel valued and experience a sense of belonging. Small groups, high staff ratios, and personalised programmes support social, emotional, and academic development.

    For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
