Role & Responsibilities:
* The Process Engineer is a key leadership role, responsible for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across all manufacturing processes.
* Rooted in strong engineering principles, this role empowers the individual to take full ownership of process stability, reliability, and operator engagement.
* Acting as a critical link between Production and Engineering, the Process Engineer plays a vital role in developing, optimising, and supporting manufacturing processes to ensure they are efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective.
* You will ensure that process improvements, new product introductions, and technical changes are seamlessly integrated into day-to-day operations.
* This role goes beyond technical maintenance it's about creating sustainable systems, coaching production teams, and leading cultural change toward a proactive, lean, and quality-driven manufacturing environment.
* You will champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning, ensuring long-term success and resilience in our operations.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodology to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
* Lead and support Autonomous Maintenance programs by training operators to conduct first-line diagnostics, routine equipment checks, and basic maintenance tasks.
* Act as a technical coach and trainer for production staff on maintenance routines, housekeeping standards, and process controls.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to analyse root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
* Ensure that all process documentation, maintenance records, and improvement logs are accurate and up to date.
* Support project teams during equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications with process impact analysis and operator training.
* Analyse production data to support process efficiency, accuracy of bill of materials (BOMs), and cost control.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Engineering background with hands-on manufacturing experience.
* Proven experience in creating and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) to support consistent and compliant manufacturing practices.
* Experience administering CMMS software, preferably Limble, with proven PM creation and upkeep.
* Yellow or Green Belt certification in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
* Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, preventive maintenance, and fault diagnosis in a manufacturing environment.
* Solid experience or knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
* Ability to develop clear and effective SOPs and Work Instructions.
* Skilled in delivering training and fostering operator engagement with autonomous maintenance and quality routines.
* Competent in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
