Lyme Regis Nursing Home is looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in leading our dedicated team.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the delivery of safe, person-centred care. You will support staff development, ensure compliance with CQC standards, and help to maintain a positive, homely atmosphere for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Registered Manager with the overall management and leadership of the home.
* Ensure the highest standards of care are delivered to residents in line with regulatory requirements.
* Lead, motivate, and support care staff, including supervision and performance management.
* Assist with rota management, recruitment, and staff training.
* Oversee care planning and resident reviews to ensure individual needs are met.
* Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and wellbeing for residents.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external professionals.
* Work with the operations manager to improve the service.
About You:
* Previous experience in a senior care role (Team Leader, Senior Carer, or Deputy Manager).
* Strong leadership and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
* Good knowledge of CQC regulations and care standards.
* Compassionate, approachable, and committed to resident wellbeing.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards it).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
