As Head Sommelier you’ll be part of a close team that works to ensure that the wine offering at The Fife Arms is world class; by sourcing, comparing, discussing, and of course tasting, it is our responsibility to maintain this marvellous collection. You are a leader with strong organisational skills. You are passionate about training and mentoring your team. Your experience allows you to work closely with your team, exceeding the expectation of our guest experience in every aspect of their stay so that they leave us feeling enriched and engaged in our ethos. The Team has been chosen for their creative flair and passion for both Wine and World Class service with a desire to consistently learn and grow. Our successful Head Sommelier will: Have an outstanding knowledge and passion for wines and is currently established in a similar role. Have completed WSET Level 3 – diploma or equivalent qualification is desirable. Have experience in working with LQA or Forbes service standards for luxury hotels. Be a naturally confident, curious and engaging person who demonstrates excellent people skills. Be a strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail. Be calm under pressure, able to work in a busy environment and with the ability quickly identify priorities for the day. What’s in it for you?
