Responsibilities
1. Oversee and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors across several live residential sites
2. Lead all commercial activities from land acquisition to final account
3. Ensure cost control, forecasting, and reporting meet company and regulatory standards
4. Drive value engineering and procurement strategies to maximise profitability
5. Liaise closely with construction, technical, and sales teams to deliver schemes on time and budget
6. Report directly to the Commercial Director
Requirements
7. Proven experience as a Senior or Managing QS within the residential sector (volume housebuilding essential)
8. Strong leadership and team management skills
9. In-depth knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial processes in housing
10. Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
11. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
