Location Overview:
Located in Chester, a city known for its culture and history, our office offers a global career within a scenic setting near the North Wales hills and River Dee.
The Team:
The FICC Business Finance & Control team is part of the GBAM CFO Group, focusing on P&L, balance sheet, and valuation controls, supporting the EMEA Credit business involved in Credit Products like CDS and Bonds. The team collaborates with trading desks, valuation groups, risk, legal, and support functions, and encourages employee engagement and diversity initiatives.
The Role:
* Support financial control, P&L, balance sheet, valuation, and regulatory interactions within the EMEA Credit BFC team.
* Calculate and analyze valuation controls, including IPV and valuation adjustments, and manage quarterly disclosures.
* Collaborate with the GVG group to review and improve valuation methodologies, ensuring documentation accuracy.
* Streamline BFC processes and participate in system development, including automation and new product releases.
* Work with the Accounting Policy Group to implement accounting policies and support internal controls like SOX.
What We Look For:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or CFA with solid accounting knowledge.
* Experience in a similar financial services or banking role.
* Strong Excel skills and understanding of accounting concepts.
