Kettering General Hospital is recruiting a Consultant Haematologist to join its established and collaborative Haematology team within the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing department delivering both malignant and non-malignant haematology services within a supportive multidisciplinary environment, with strong links to Leicester and regional tertiary services.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality inpatient, outpatient, and laboratory haematology services while contributing to teaching, research, governance, and future service development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver comprehensive clinical haematology care across inpatient and outpatient services
* Lead consultant-led ward rounds and specialist haematology clinics
* Participate in MDT meetings, transfusion support, and laboratory haematology services
* Support teaching and supervision of junior doctors and undergraduate students
* Contribute to audit, governance, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
* Participate in the 1:4 consultant on-call rota
What We’re Looking For:
* Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise
* MRCP (UK) or equivalent
* FRCPath or equivalent qualification
* Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in Haematology (or within 6 months of CCT/CESR)
* Broad clinical and laboratory haematology experience
* Strong communication, leadership, and MDT working skills
