Your new job working as a Commercial Account Handler will be working in the Corporate Commercial department for a Lloyd’s Broker who has been established for over 50 years. Your new Brokers have offices in over 100 countries and currently collaborate as a powerful international team comprised of 18,000 employees. Due to growth within the Corporate Commercial team, a permanent position for a Corporate Account Handler has arisen in their Colchester office with the option of hybrid working to support the team. The role involves dealing with the administration of renewals and mid-term changes among corporate clients.
Your new role
Your role as a Corporate Account Handler involves liaising with Account Executives to ensure an effective strategy for renewals, attending client meetings, obtaining renewal terms, presenting to clients, and issuing renewal documentation. Duties also include managing clients from inception to completion, from broking to the open market. Additional responsibilities include assisting in achieving client retention targets, ensuring premiums are collected on time, and recording all relevant information accurately. You will produce accurate and professional documentation and process adjustments in line with procedures, including notifying insurers, issuing revised documentation, and collecting additional premiums.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience working as a Commercial Account Handler dealing with corporate risks, with a working knowledge of all main classes of general insurance, as well as corporate insurance experience, will contribute to your success. You should have excellent technical insurance skills, accuracy, attention to detail, the ability to work quickly and efficiently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and possess excellent client service skills. Strong negotiation and broking skills, good communication skills, and the ability to gather and analyze information from clients are essential. Ideally, you will have your Certificate in Insurance. Please only apply if you have experience working as a Commercial Account Handler, preferably handling corporate business or risks with premiums above £20,000. You must be able to travel to Colchester.
