Description
Join System C and help improve digital systems across health, social care and education. As an entry-level Junior Software Tester, known internally as Associate QA Engineer, you’ll work in a team alongside developers, product managers and technical authors - reviewing user stories, designing and executing test cases, maintaining regression packs, and logging reproducible defects. You’ll contribute to stand‑ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives, and gain hands‑on exposure to functional, end‑to‑end, accessibility, compatibility and exploratory testing, plus low/no‑code automation.
What makes this opportunity stand out is our structured two‑year development plan. From day one you’ll receive training in our QA ways of working and toolset, shadow experienced testers, and build strong fundamentals across traceability, environments and test data management. As you progress, you’ll take on scoped testing work with coaching, practise real‑time test reporting and risk management, and develop early technical literacy. We’ll support self‑study and mentoring to help you grow with confidence.
What We’re Looking For
* Analytical, detail‑driven mindset with clear written and verbal communication
* Comfortable in a fast‑changing, ambiguous environment; you escalates risks early and meets commitments
* An IT‑related degree (or equivalent experience) is helpful; commercial testing experience is a bonus, not essential
What You’ll Get In Return
* Mission‑led work with real‑world impact
* Mentoring, feedback and a clear two‑year progression plan
* Learning support and recognised certifications
