Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant Location: Robertsbridge, East Sussex Type: Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Long-Term Role with Potential to Become Permanent Are you an experienced and passionate individual looking to make a real impact in the lives of young people with additional needs? We are currently seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary provision in Robertsbridge, supporting children aged 5 to 11 with a range of complex needs. About the Pupils: All pupils at this setting have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and primarily present with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or associated traits. Many also have additional needs, including: Speech, language and communication difficulties Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Sensory processing challenges Anxiety, demand avoidance, and emotional-based school avoidance Specific learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) The Role: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and emotional development of pupils with additional needs. You will lead learning sessions, deliver interventions, and provide in-class and pastoral support, all within a therapeutic and nurturing environment. Working in close partnership with teaching staff, therapists, and pastoral teams, you will help ensure that each child's individual education plan is met with compassion and consistency.
