The Role:
Checking quality requirements for all products manufactured by Deli Lites, ensuring that products are manufactured in line with Product Specifications, Food Safety, Food Legality, and Factory Hygiene Standards. Reporting any NCRs and GMP issues.
As Night Shift Quality Controller, you will uphold the quality, legality, and authenticity of all our values at DELI LITES and give customers the opportunity to achieve their extraordinary results through the passion we have for our people and food. Your Duties:
* To conduct your duties in a manner that safeguards your own safety and the safety of others.
* Work and support the Deli Lites Quality Team.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures for Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene.
* Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; communicate required adjustments to your Quality Supervisor and/or Production Supervisor.
* Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; return products for re-work; confirm re-work.
* Complete paperwork and records of checks carried out, including weight checks, temperature checks, label checks, metal detection, and where required, checkweigher checks.
* Ensure any Internal and Supplier Non-Conformances are communicated through the Daily Quality Reports.
* Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and highlighting the need for repairs.
* Support the production team and ensure the prevention of use of sub-standard ingredients and the prevention of poor quality or potentially unsafe products leaving the site.
* Support the NPD and Production teams during production trials.
* Report issues to the quality manager/supervisor that may result in compromised food safety, food legality, or product quality.
* Carry out any other reasonable working instructions given by your Quality Supervisor, Quality Manager, and Technical Manager.

* Excellent communicator - both written and oral.
* Highly energetic, enthusiastic, and creative.
* Excellent planning and organizing skills.
* IT Literate.
* Experience working within a Quality Department within the food industry.
