HR Coordinator at a London Law Firm
AJ Chambers is working with a vibrant and specialised Law Firm in the City of London, seeking a HR Coordinator. In this role, you will support the Head of HR and Senior Coordinator in delivering comprehensive HR services across the firm. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual to handle various HR responsibilities and contribute to the firm's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in managing employee relations, including investigations, drafting correspondence, and attending performance, disciplinary, and grievance hearings.
2. Coordinate and respond to Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
3. Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, shortlisting, scheduling, and conducting interviews.
4. Lead on-site inductions for new employees to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
5. Support appraisal processes, salary reviews, and bonus reviews.
6. Advise staff on employment legislation, employee relations, and company policies.
7. Oversee the end-of-year holiday reconciliation process.
8. Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
9. Respond to employee queries regarding payroll and benefits.
Candidate Requirements
1. Previous experience as an HR Administrator, preferably in legal, partnership, or professional services sectors.
2. Strong academic background.
3. Part CIPD qualification (desirable but not essential).
4. Excellent knowledge of HR systems.
5. Good understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
6. Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
7. Confident written and verbal communication skills, with good grammar and punctuation.
8. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
9. Ability to manage a busy workload proactively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. Professional, confidential, and approachable demeanor.
