Job Description
Contribute as part of a management team to provide quality early learning and childcare for children, families, and the wider community. Ensure compliance with national and local authority guidance and statutes related to early learning and childcare. Support the integration of universal services within a specified locality in accordance with GIRFEC, national standards, and guidelines. Assist in promoting, delivering, and integrating key objectives outlined in the Education Service Plan, the Children and Young People's Services Plan, and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties involve regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a PVG Scheme member or undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal employment offer can be made. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at Kilmaurs Early Childhood Centre, Kilmaurs. The hours are 17.5 per week, directed by the line manager. The contract is temporary until 22 October 2026. The full-time annual salary ranges from £36,455 to £39,985, with the actual term-time salary between £15,633 and £17,147.
