Clean Water Network Modellers/Engineers – All levels.
Locations: Cardiff, Belfast, Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Epsom, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Peterborough, Warrington.
AtkinsRéalis is a leading name in Water Networks and influences how water networks are managed in the UK and internationally. Due to growth, we are recruiting Clean Water Network Modellers/Engineers across UK offices. These roles offer flexible working from various UK locations. You will join a team of engineers, modellers, GIS specialists, and technicians, working on projects for Water Companies, Local Authorities, developers, and potentially international clients.
The team is part of the Asset Planning & Solutions practice, focusing on water and wastewater projects, including designing water supply networks and drainage schemes. The work involves feasibility studies and computer modelling to support operational and environmental decisions. Experience with Synergee, InfoWorks, GIS packages like ARC or MapInfo, and civil engineering is advantageous but not essential, as full training is provided. These roles involve feasibility studies, computer analysis, client liaison, and producing short reports on findings.
Senior roles require: experience in model usage, hydraulic analysis, solution development, and technical leadership.
Requirements:
* Management and supervision of a team of water modellers.
* Implementation of industry-leading and innovative solutions.
* Experience with water modelling and distribution networks.
* Building and calibrating network models.
* Using models for planning, operations, and design.
* Managing studies, Pressure Management, and DMA Design.
* Supervising report writing and reviewing outputs.
* Experience with SYNERGI, INFOWORKS WS, EPANET, Infowater, or similar software.
Qualifications:
* BSc/BEng/MEng in geography, GIS, science, engineering, or equivalent, with professional qualifications for senior roles.
* Technician roles require HNC/HND in similar subjects; opportunities for qualifications are available.
Responsibilities:
* Developing computer models for water network issues and solutions.
* Data analysis.
* Advising clients on asset investments.
* Supporting report and deliverable development.
* Preparing health and safety risk assessments.
