Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Hospitality / Venue Manager to lead and oversee day-to-day operations across their sports facility. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a strong background in retail, sales, or hospitality management who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills, a hands-on management style, and the ability to drive team performance while maintaining high operational standards. Hospitality experience will be highly regarded, as the role involves regular interaction with a diverse range of customers and staff. Availability to work weekends and 12 evenings during the week is required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and supervise team members to achieve performance targets and deliver exceptional customer service
Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with company policies
Implement effective merchandising strategies to maximise product presentation and sales
Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed business targets
Create staff rosters, allocate tasks, and provide regular performance feedback
Maintain clear and professional communication with staff, customers, and senior management
Manage administrative tasks including reporting, stock control, and record keeping
Ensure all health, safety, and organisational standards are met at all times
Promote a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork, development, and high morale
Skills & Experience
35 years experience in a supervisory or management role within retail or hospitality
Proven leadership ability with a hands-on, people-focused approach
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including phone and customer engagement
Experience in merchandising, sales management, and operational planning
Sound administrative skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while managing multiple responsibilities
