Job Title: Workday Configuration Specialist
Reporting to the HR Systems Lead, this role supports the team in ensuring Hiscox uses Workday functionality effectively. The role will maintain Workday to support People Administration and Projects, assist with system changes and updates as part of the People cycle, and support Workday upgrades. It will also involve designing new configurations or modifying existing ones in collaboration with the HR Systems Lead and third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage Workday change processes in collaboration with the HR Systems Lead.
2. Support Workday release management cycles on a monthly and biannual basis.
3. Implement process improvements around Workday releases.
4. Present new Workday configurations verbally and through written guides.
5. Configure current functionality globally to meet business needs.
6. Manage the annual cycle of HR processes involving Workday, including gathering requirements, configuring, testing, and delivering solutions.
7. Review current processes to ensure efficiency.
8. Test all configurations from Workday releases and new functionalities before deployment.
9. Provide second-level HR support by troubleshooting and resolving issues.
10. Ensure GDPR compliance by reviewing security permissions and reporting access.
11. Participate in training new HR team members and providing training on new functionalities to the wider team.
12. Perform other related activities as assigned by the HR Systems Lead.
Person Specification:
* Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Workday configuration and change management.
* Completion of several Workday courses, including Core HCM.
* Strong foundational knowledge of Workday configuration and reporting.
* Experience using Workday Community for troubleshooting and self-learning.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Self-organized, methodical, with strong attention to detail.
* Problem-solving skills, curiosity, and persistence.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially intermediate to advanced Excel.
* Interest in technology and personal drive.
* Ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
* Adaptability, service-mindedness, and problem-solving skills to support different locations.
