Dalkia have an opportunity for a multi-tech engineer to join our growing team based at Sizewell C in Leiston.
General Overview:
The Multi-tech Engineer is responsible for assisting in undertaking planned and reactive maintenance tasks and ensuring that the facilities team provide a safe and secure environment that enables the client’s staff to concentrate on their business activities with minimum disruption.
You will be an integral part of the site maintenance team in ensuring that the office facilities run smoothly and are successful in supporting business activities and for providing a professional service for our client.
Responsibilities:
1. The daily duties of a Multi-tech Engineer can vary significantly depending on the project and employer. However, common tasks will include:
2. Participate in Health & Safety Codes of Safe Working and other Environmental issues to ensure total compliance with both EDF/Dalkia Health, Safety and Environmental Policy. Report any omissions or risks that might compromise a Safe Working Environment.
3. Receive electronic PPM instructions from the Aurora system and undertake all maintenance tasks in accordance with these instructions.
4. Ensure all maintenance consumables are available and arrange replenishment of all items to ensure agreed stock levels are established.
5. Complete all electronic, and paper records, such that an accurate Site Logbook record of all works remains on site for the Client’s information and approval.
6. Be able to undertake any diagnostic analysis that the whole system may require.
7. Undertake a visual condition inspection of all installed equipment and submit a written report of any items that appear to jeopardise any aspects of reliability.
8. Enter dialogue with the Client’s representative to ensure there are no outstanding issues and to ensure the overall quality of service delivery.
9. Carry out general maintenance and good housekeeping practices.
10. If appropriate report on the performance of any sub-contracted works.
11. Attend to all reasonable emergency call-out requests as speedily as possible and maintain good communications with the Client with the progress of all outstanding works.
12. Make recommendations to the Manager on matters concerning continuous improvement and “adding value” that may improve the productivity, costs, quality of service delivery, etc. of all work for which the Company has a responsibility.
13. Complete all Dalkia maintenance tasks as generated by Dalkia Helpdesk
14. Ensure plant areas Dalkia are responsible for are always clean and tidy.
15. Stay current with industry advancements and best practices.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
16. Clean Driving Licence
17. Be willing to undertake regular drugs and alcohol testing
18. C&G Level 2 in Electrical or greater
19. 18TH Edition
20. Knowledge of Mechanical
21. Basic knowledge in A/C Systems
22. Basic I.T skills as tablet will be supplied for Health and Safety reporting, Timesheets, PPM’s and Reactive works
23. Role in similar position preferred.

27. Highly motivated
28. Qualification in Health and Safety (IOSH or similar) if possible.

32. DEVELOPING: Identifying training gaps and liaising with the FM Management to ensure that you are fully trained and competent to undertake all aspects of your job and tasks.
