HENRY is an innovative and supportive national charity that is making a real difference to the lives of young children and their families. We are seeking two passionate Facilitators to join our HENRY Croydon team, delivering Healthy Families programmes and workshops (face to face and online) for parents and carers of children aged 0–12 across the borough. Working in partnership with Croydon Council as part of the Family Healthy Behaviours Service, you’ll support families to build knowledge, confidence and positive routines that enable lasting lifestyle change. Based in the London Borough of Croydon, the roles involve travel to local community venues, with hybrid working from home and our New Addington office. You’ll join a small, friendly team comprising a Service Manager, Senior Practitioner, Starting Solids Co-ordinator, fellow Facilitators and an Administrator. The roles: Both roles are available as full-time or part-time (37.5 hours, 1.0FTE or 30 hours, 0.8FTE each week). Some flexibility is required to meet the needs of families, which may include occasional evening sessions. 1x Families with Babies and Children Aged 0– 7: You will primarily deliver Healthy Families: Brighter Future and Starting Solids workshops, supporting parents and carers to establish healthy routines from the very start. 1x Families with Children Aged 5-12: You will lead the Healthy Families: Growing Up programme and practical cooking workshops, helping families build confidence and skills for healthy eating and active lifestyles. Job Description Job Purpose: To support families in providing a healthy, happy start in life for babies and children. Key Responsibilities: Reach and engage diverse families Deliver HENRY programmes and family support services to families Collect data to measure impact of services and drive improvement Reach and engage diverse families Participate in local public health events and campaigns to promote messages around babies’ and children’s health and wellbeing. Consult with local services, community groups and families to identify and understand diverse needs within the local population. Liaise with partners to reach families, creatively overcoming barriers to engage vulnerable and marginalised groups. Contribute to the development of resources, flyers and posters to promote key messages and HENRY support. Support and/or deliver outreach activities, workshops and drop-in sessions. Deliver HENRY programmes and family support services to families Build and maintain collaborative relationships with local partners to arrange and coordinate programme delivery and support parent recruitment. Undertake detailed planning and preparation for programme delivery. Deliver or co-deliver structured HENRY group and 1-to-1 programmes, using strengths-based and solution-focused support to create the conditions for change. Debrief and share feedback with other facilitators at the end of each programme as part of a continuous system of practice development and quality improvement. Complete programme paperwork in a timely and organised manner. Follow safeguarding, lone working and health and safety policies to protect your own safety and the safety and wellbeing of children and families. Signpost families to other local services, including specialist services, in response to identified needs C ollect data to measure impact of services and drive improvement Ensure feedback, evaluation and monitoring information is gathered and recorded for all services. Accurately collect and enter relevant data. Contribute to the preparation of reports. Participate in service reviews to establish the effectiveness of support provided and identify areas for improvement.
