Careermakers Recruitment are looking for a number of CAD Design Engineer for our ever-growing client based in Bradford, BD5
Key Responsibilities
1. Produce 3D CAD models and generate engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
2. Review in-house project drawings using AutoCAD.
3. Progress new designs from concept through to manufacture.
4. Revise existing designs and drawings in response to design reviews, engineering change requests, and manufacturing feedback.
5. Maintain drawing control and revision history.
6. Ensure all designs comply with internal standards and quality procedures.
7. Consult internally with sales, engineering, and production to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
8. Liaise with suppliers on technical queries and component specifications.
9. Assist with prototype builds, inspections, and design validation.
10. Support production and installation teams with technical guidance.
11. Apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
12. Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement.
13. Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
