Shaw Trust
Service administrator
Posted: 31 December
Offer description

As a member of the Digital and Data Team, you will support the achievement of the team's objectives. This role requires a focused team player who has a keen interest in supporting young people's futures and the power that data brings to this.

You will need to be located within close proximity to West Bromwich, as the role will require you to complete community calling in the area. Having your own car/clean driving licence would be an advantage however public transport in the area would allow non-drivers to deliver this role.

We are looking for a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who is comfortable working flexibly, independently, and collaboratively as part of a remote home-working team.

Primarily, you will be working with Excel spreadsheets and a local client record database; using formulas and functions in Excel will be a daily part of the role; any experience of working with Excel, be it in employment, education or a private setting, will be advantageous. Alongside this you will be making contact with young people over phone, text and email to confirm their current activity and signpost to relevant support services. You will also be part of a two person team who will make regluar community calling activities within the Sandwell area.

Recognising the importance of maintaining information quality and integrity, and having a strong eye for detail, is vital, along with understanding the need for great customer service

We’re seeking a results-oriented individual with exceptional time management skills, capable of thriving under tight deadlines while remaining adaptable. You’ll bring a proactive mindset and a positive approach to continuous improvement—both in developing your own skills and in enhancing the services we deliver to our customers.

Please note: The successful applicant will be required to undergo and pass vetting checks prior to appointment

Hours

This role involves 18 hours per week, spread across 4 days: two rotational weekdays from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm (including a 30-minute lunch break), and Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. While weekend hours are fixed, weekday evening shifts require flexibility. Your schedule for these will be agreed with your Line Manager one month in advance.

Employee Benefits

At Shaw Trust, you’ll not only make a positive impact on people’s lives—you’ll also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including:

* Generous annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays, rising to 28 days with service, plus the option to buy extra leave.
* Paid volunteering: 2 days per year.
* Enhanced pension after 6 months and Life Assurance (3x salary).
