Job Title: Teacher, Technology
Location: Rosa Parks Middle School, Olney
Schedule: Part-time (.400 FTE, 32 hours bi-weekly)
Working Months: 10
Shift: Day
Position Details: Under the direction of the middle school principal, plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for adolescent students. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to foster a school culture conducive to the development of adolescents across intellectual, physical, social, and emotional domains. Supervises students in various school settings, communicates with students, staff, parents, and the community. Develops and differentiates instructional plans to meet diverse student needs. Maintains records, follows procedures, and uses data to monitor achievement. Ensures proper use and care of equipment and facilities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of education from an accredited institution, Maryland state certification in the relevant field, knowledge of adolescent development, MCPS curriculum, and policies. Demonstrates high expectations for all learners, effective instructional and behavioral management strategies, and commitment to diversity and inclusion. Familiarity with Montgomery County Public Schools' Teacher Professional Growth System (TPGS) and Supporting Services (SEIU) Professional Growth System (SSPGS).
Compensation: Salary range from $64,591 to $131,472, based on education and experience. Benefits information available via the provided link.
