Job Description
* Develop and execute the trading strategy for the business.
* Analyse market trends to identify business opportunities and improve performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise product assortment and pricing strategies.
* Ensure effective stock management and inventory control.
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators to assess trading performance.
* Lead and mentor a team to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Trading Director should have:
* Proven expertise in the retail industry, specifically within fashion.
* Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive strategic decisions.
* Experience at Merchandising Director or Trading Director level.
* Ideally Board level exposure.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
* Comprehensive knowledge of trading and inventory management processes.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
