Senior Vehicle Technician / Workshop Foreman – Croydon
Our client, a reputable and family‑run fleet company based in Croydon, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Vehicle Technician / Workshop Foreman. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive professional to step into a supervisory role within a well‑established operation, primarily focusing on commercial and light van fleet maintenance.

Duties
* Oversee daily workshop operations to ensure smooth workflow and efficient service delivery
* Lead and supervise a team of mechanics, driving high standards of vehicle repairs and maintenance
* Conduct diagnostics using advanced tools including Snap‑On and Autel scanners
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting advice to workshop staff
* Communicate effectively with management and stakeholders regarding workshop activities
* Coordinate work across multiple sites, including mobile and external yards
* Supervise workshop safety practices and ensure compliance with company policies
* Manage workshop logistics and ensure productivity targets are met
* Support team development and ongoing technical training
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Master Technician, Vehicle Technician, or Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Technician with strong diagnostic skills
* Previous supervisory or managerial experience within a workshop environment
* Highly technically skilled and solutions‑minded with a proactive problem‑solving approach
* Excellent communication skills, capable of providing honest feedback and leading a team
* Mature, experienced individual with broad industry knowledge and a professional attitude
* Ability to work independently and manage daily workshop operations effectively
* Comfortable working with modern diagnostic systems and workshop management software
