Upto £17 an hour - dependent on experience Job Overview Exciting opportunity to join this company, the successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components with precision and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic environment, contributing to the production of high-quality metal structures and products. Duties Fabricate sheet metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications using hand tools and tooling. Perform cutting, grinding, welding, and assembly of sheet metal components to meet project requirements. Use mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Assist in the installation of fabricated components on-site or within the workshop setting. Conduct quality checks to ensure all work adheres to safety standards and quality specifications. Qualifications Proven experience in fabrication, welding, grinding, or similar trades involving sheet metal work. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in using hand tools, tooling, and basic measuring equipment such as rulers and calipers. Strong understanding of assembly processes related to sheet metal components. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during fabrication. Familiarity with safety procedures related to welding, grinding, and working with heavy materials.
