Role Overview
The Clinical Governance and Quality function is an NHS Borders wide support service based within the Borders General Hospital. The Quality Improvement Facilitator post is an exciting opportunity for someone to lead the programme of quality improvement work centred on the effective delivery of planned care across NHS Borders. The post holder will work with local and national stakeholders to guide the programme and ensure deliverables are met.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support a range of quality improvement activities centred on the delivery of safe, effective and person‑centred care.
* Guide the programme and ensure deliverables are met, working with local and national stakeholders.
* Support the wider portfolio of work within the department when required.
Qualifications
* Exceptional interpersonal skills.
* Advanced skills in improvement methodology and project management.
* Ability to work as a team leader within the Clinical Governance and Quality department.
Employment Conditions
As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay is not affected.
