Freelance Fibreglass Laminator
Location: Wembley, London
Duration:Up to 8 months contract (Freelance)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced wet fibreglass lay-up Laminator to work with a team on a prestigious project in London.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare moulds and tools for lay-up.
* Cut, lay-up, and cure materials according to engineering specifications and drawings, using Polyester Resins.
* Ensure the quality and accuracy of lay-ups, identifying and correcting any defects.
* Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize processes and improve product quality.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience as a Fibreglass Hand Laminator in the museum props/ model making/ film industry.
* Strong understanding of fibreglass materials and manufacturing processes.
* Happy to work on a wide variety of complex parts.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Ability to work in a high-pressure dynamic environment.
* Experience working with Flax lamination would be helpful.
