An established and highly regarded, people-centric London law firm is seeking a Private Client Tax Solicitor to join its growing specialist team. This is a rare opportunity to work on complex tax and estate planning matters in a firm known for combining technical strength with personal service.
The Role
The successful candidate will lead on a wide range of private client tax matters, supporting high-net-worth individuals, trustees, families, and business owners. The work is varied and intellectually stimulating, including:
* Inheritance tax planning and lifetime gifting strategies
* Establishing and administering onshore and offshore trusts
* Capital gains and income tax advisory
* Personal tax compliance and domicile/residence advice
* Cross-border estate structuring
* Liaising with investment managers, accountants, and family offices
You will work closely with an experienced team of legal professionals in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Candidate Profile
This role would suit a solicitor with a strong grounding in private client tax and a genuine interest in helping clients plan for the future. The firm welcomes applications from junior lawyers with relevant training as well as experienced senior associates.
Essential requirements:
* Qualified solicitor (England & Wales)
* STEP and/or CTA qualified (or working towards)
* Demonstrable experience in inheritance tax, CGT, trusts, and personal tax matters
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* A personable and pragmatic approach to client service
