Workshop Technician (Hands-On Engineering Role)
Love building, fixing and improving high-precision tech? We’re looking for a practical, proactive Workshop Technician to assemble, service and repair cutting-edge scientific instruments.
You’ll be joining a fast-growing, innovative science and engineering company developing advanced instrumentation that supports cutting-edge research and biomedical applications. The team works closely across design, development, production and customer support to deliver next-generation technology used by universities, hospitals and industry partners.
🔧 What you’ll do:
* Assemble and QC electromechanical instruments (including soldering/crimping)
* Repair and service equipment in-house and at customer sites (some international travel)
* Support R&D with jigs, fixtures and process improvements
* Help manage inventory, shipping and workshop organisation
✅ You’ll bring:
* Strong hands-on technical ability and confidence with tools
* Experience with electromechanical assembly or repair
* Ability to read wiring schematics and engineering drawings
* Independence, attention to detail and great communication
