Head of Marketing – Crosstown Concerts
This is a critical, senior leadership position. You will be responsible for the strategic development, execution, and commercial results of all concert marketing campaigns.
This role requires a proven leader who can drive ticket sales, manage substantial media budgets, and lead a dynamic and creative in‑house team.
You will report directly to the Director and the Business Operations Manager, ensuring all promotional strategies align with financial objectives and operational capacities.
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Strategy, Campaign & Commercial Delivery
* Lead a dynamic and creative team that is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans for multiple concurrent tours.
* Focus strategies on achieving and exceeding established ticket sales targets and maximizing return on investment (ROI).
* Manage and control multi‑platform marketing budgets for all shows. Work closely with the Business Operations Manager on sales forecasting and budget reconciliation.
* Oversee digital performance campaigns, including strategizing and optimizing activity across SEM, PPC, email, and social media.
Team & Internal Management
* Directly manage, mentor, and develop the marketing team, overseeing their day‑to‑day workflow and task delegation.
* Establish and enforce best practices to maintain high standards for quality, accuracy, and efficiency across all marketing output.
* Conduct regular one‑to‑one meetings and performance reviews for marketing staff.
* Optimize internal processes and communication flow across departments.
External Partnerships & Artist Relations
* Act as the primary marketing liaison with key external partners, including artist management, booking agents, record labels, venues, and ticketing platforms.
* Ability to work in collaboration with various stakeholders is essential to ensure consistent campaign messaging and delivery.
* Working closely and regularly meeting with promoters to understand priorities and align marketing resource allocation for all tours and events.
Reporting & Analysis
* Utilize ticketing data and platform analytics to monitor real‑time campaign performance.
* Generate precise, commercial post‑campaign reports detailing key learnings and actionable recommendations for future strategy, presenting findings to the Director and Business Operations Manager.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
Experience is Non‑Negotiable: Minimum of 3‑5 years of direct, senior‑level marketing or campaign management experience within the live music/concert promotion sector is required.
* Proven Digital Expertise: Proficient user of Meta Business Suite, Meta Ads Manager and WordPress. A proven track record of delivering online media (including SEM, PPC, email and social) campaigns is a significant advantage.
* Leadership Track Record: Proven experience in managing, mentoring, and developing a small but high‑performing marketing team is essential.
* Financial Acumen: Demonstrable ability to manage and reconcile complex, multi‑show budgets and track performance against commercial KPIs.
* High‑Volume Management: Exceptional organiser skills and the capacity to manage numerous complex projects simultaneously.
