We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing & CI Engineer to drive operational performance, continuous improvement, and manufacturing capability within a fast-paced, regulated environment. This is a high-impact role focused on improving efficiency, quality, and cost through lean methodologies, automation, and capital investment, while supporting new product introduction into production.
You will lead improvement initiatives across the site, deliver key investment projects, and play a central role in strengthening engineering practices and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance OEE, productivity, waste reduction, and lead times
* Apply Lean / Six Sigma tools (RCA, 5 Whys, 8D) and drive data-led decision making
* Identify and deliver automation and capital investment projects from concept through to implementation
* Support the move from reactive to preventative/predictive maintenance and resolve recurring issues
* Optimise and standardise manufacturing processes to improve capability and scalability
* Support new product introduction, including process validation, trials, and production ramp-up
* Work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
Requirements:
* Strong experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
* Proven track record delivering capital projects and automation solutions
* Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. medical, FMCG, automotive, aerospace)
* Good understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and maintenance strategies (PPM, CBM)
* Hands-on, practical approach with strong problem-solving ability
* Able to link engineering activity to business performance and cost improvement
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
