About the Role
Our community pharmacies play a key part in caring for the health and well-being of our customers. As the largest Co‑operative Pharmacy group, our pharmacies offer so much more than just exceptional customer service. From prescriptions and flu vaccines to podiatry services, we are passionate about supporting the health needs of our patients.
As a Relief Pharmacy Services Assistant, you will join an enthusiastic and hardworking team of colleagues who work together to make a positive difference to the lives of their patients. You will have the opportunity to work across a number of pharmacies within our business area, including but not limited to Boston, Holbeach, Horncastle, Louth, and Ruskington, supporting service continuity across our sites. From working on the counter to keeping shelves stocked and ready for customers, there is a wide range of duties you will be involved in, such as:
* Delivering exceptional customer service, providing health advice and services to patients through engaging conversations
* Ensuring that every customer leaves the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs
* Keeping the shop floor fully stocked and ready for customers through receiving and processing deliveries and completing stock takes
* Delivering technical aspects of the dispensary, supporting the safe supply of medicines. This may include ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, and supporting the collection of prescriptions
* Assisting with sales and general store duties, including creating product displays and processing cash transactions
About You
It isn’t just about experience or knowledge; we’re looking for people with a genuine passion for customer service and who will be ambassadors for healthcare in our pharmacies. To be successful in joining our team, you’ll need to show us:
* A natural ability to build meaningful relationships with both patients and colleagues
* An upbeat, caring, and confident manner when serving and advising patients
* An enthusiasm and talent for problem solving, eager to take on new challenges and experiences
* A methodical and accurate approach to practical tasks, using your own initiative and teamwork skills to aid you
* Experience of working in a retail background and using a stock control system would be desirable but not essential as full training is provided
* As some travel will be required within this role, you will need access to a vehicle for business use and hold a full UK driving licence
To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Assistant and/or Dispensing. Applications that do not meet this essential requirement will not be progressed.
