Pertemps are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Material Controller to join a well-established warehouse in Oldbury. This role is key to ensuring smooth daily operations, accurate order processing, excellent customer service, and effective management of materials and stock levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process and manage sales orders.
Provide outstanding customer service, handling enquiries via phone and email.
Support day-to-day administrative tasks to keep operations running efficiently.
Monitor, chase, and help resolve outstanding invoices in collaboration with the finance team.
Use Sage for order processing and basic accounting functions.
Maintain accurate records of materials and stock levels, ensuring availability for production and sales.
Monitor minimum stock levels and alert management when replenishment is needed to prevent shortages.
Assist in coordinating with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
Support inventory audits and reporting to maintain accurate stock data.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience in administration, customer service, sales order processing, and material or inventory control.
Proficiency with Sage software.
Strong understanding of stock management and minimum stock levels.
Excellent communication skills with a customer-first approach.
High attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders, handling invoices, and managing stock records.
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday 08:30am - 17:00pm
Friday 08:30am - 16:00pm
Pay Rate:
£12.50 per hour
This is a temporary position with the opportunity to go permanent after a successful trial period
