Permanent, Full time – 37.5 hours per week (days and nights, 24/7 service)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health Liaison team at The Princess Royal Hospital. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you will provide comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, risk management and timely interventions for people presenting with mental health needs in hospital.
You will be both an autonomous practitioner and an integral member of the wider multi-disciplinary team, building strong relationships with patients, carers and colleagues across health and social care.
Key responsibilities
* Undertake mental health assessments and formulate care and recovery plans.
* Provide specialist advice, interventions and support to patients, carers, hospital staff and other agencies.
* Contribute to the safe and effective delivery of a 24/7 urgent care service.
* Promote patient safety, recovery and positive outcomes through collaborative working.
What we're looking for
* Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC) with mentorship/teaching qualification (or equivalent).
* Experience of assessing and supporting people with complex mental health needs.
* Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act (1983/2007), Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding procedures.
* Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills.
