We are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector based at our site in Dudley. Hours of work are 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
Role Overview
* To fully support the SHEQ Manager and Quality Engineer in the control of specific customer supplied product.
* Inspection, preparation of parts and documentation prior to despatch
Key responsibilities will be to:
* Manage key accounts, ensuring supply requirements are confirmed during production and via pre-dispatch audits.
* Carry out inspection of parts, prior to despatch and at various stages of production ensuring they meet the requirements of the Quality Plan and customer requirements
* Use of measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, depth gauges etc
* Record inspection results.
* Preparation and packaging of parts to meet key account requirements.
* Conduct tests required to maintain Customer Control Plan
* Use of fork lift truck and overhead crane.
* Use of other mechanical handling equipment.
Relevant experience required:
* Experience in a previous Quality Inspection role and use in following 9001 Quality Management Systems.
* Experience of inspection and pre-despatch audits
* Attention to detail to identify defects and ensure a quality product
* Experienced in the use of general measuring equipment
* Experienced in the use of FLT’s and over head cranes.
* Strong computer skills
* Strong oral and written communication skills
