Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a B1.1/C Modification Certifying Aircraft Engineer, based in Kirmington. The role involves carrying out and certifying scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, and repairs on company and customer aircraft in accordance with regulatory and company procedures. The engineer will interpret technical documentation, complete and verify maintenance records, and ensure all work complies with safety, airworthiness, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting aircraft systems and structures, troubleshooting defects, coordinating with engineering and planning teams, and supporting modification projects from installation through to certification. The role also requires contributing to continuous improvement of maintenance processes, mentoring less experienced team members, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
Qualifications
* Strong experience in Aircraft Maintenance, including scheduled and unscheduled checks, repairs, and modifications.
* Hands-on experience working with a variety of Aircraft types, ideally within a Part-145 or similar regulated environment.
* In-depth knowledge of Aircraft Systems, including electrical, mechanical, and avionics interfaces relevant to B1.1/C activities.
* Relevant Type Rating(s) on company-operated aircraft, or the ability and willingness to obtain required type approvals.
* Solid understanding of Aeronautics principles as they apply to aircraft performance, structures, and systems integration.
* EASA/UK Part-66 B1.1 (and/or C) License, or equivalent recognised qualification, with certification privileges appropriate to the role.
* Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and modification documentation.
* Strong focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, with excellent attention to detail and record-keeping.
