Your NewpanyA leading, forward‑thinking organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to enhance procurementernance, drive value for money, and support a broad portfolio of services and transformation initiatives. Available on a hybrid-basis with 2-3 days per week in the office, this role can be based at either their Northamptonshire or Bedfordshire office and is an excellent opportunity to shape procurement practice within aplex, multi‑site environmentmitted to strongmercial performance and continuous improvement.
Your New RoleAs Procurement Manager, you will oversee all procurement activity and act as the primary advisor on procurement strategy, policy, and regulation. You will ensurepliant tendering processes, robust financial controls, and transparent audit trails, while supporting departments to plan and deliver effective sourcing activity. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leadingpliant tendering processes, including e‑tendering, evaluation, biddermunication and due diligence.
2. Advising on procurement routes, frameworks, thresholds, andmercial risk.
3. Developing category strategies aligned with organisational priorities and sustainability goals.
4. Managing contracts, negotiating favourable terms, and promoting consistent supplier relationship management.
5. Analysing spend data, benchmarking high‑value contracts, and maintaining procurement dashboards and KPIs.
6. Delivering training, guidance, and briefings to non‑specialist stakeholders.
7. Maintaining an accurate contracts register and forward planning renewals.
8. Ensuringpliance with procurement policy, financial controls, GDPR, Modern Slavery and sustainability reporting.
9. Administering procurement card processes, monitoring usage, and identifying opportunities for structured purchasing.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
10. CIPS Level 4 or above or equivalent professional procurement qualification.
11. Strong understanding of public procurement regulations andpliant tendering.
12. Experience in contract negotiation, supplier management, and analysing financial data.
13. Ability to deliver procurement advice to non-specialists and influence senior stakeholders.
14. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
15. Excellentmunication skills and confidence presenting or delivering training.
