Electrical Engineer

Salary: £38,000 - £57,500This role involves carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment and be proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining complex machinery.
Day-to-day of the role:
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on various manufacturing equipment to ensure continuous operation.
Perform calibration, validation, and adjustments on equipment, including measurement and control devices.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults across production machinery and associated systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by collaborating with the engineering team to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records using a computerised maintenance management system.
Ensure all maintenance work complies with health & safety standards, including conducting risk assessments and following safe isolation practices.
Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
Offer engineering support to production teams to help resolve issues and improve output.
Collaborate with project teams to develop and improve electrical control systems.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in fault finding and troubleshooting on Siemens PLCs.
Knowledge of drive systems (AC/DC) and associated controls.
Completed Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and technical drawings.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Benefits:
