Key responsibilities
* Take delivery of goods and supplies
* Check for damaged or missing items
* Store goods appropriately
* Pick and pack orders for dispatch and modify machines where necessary (training provided)
* Move stock around by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift
* Load goods for dispatch
* Arrange collections and book deliveries
* Input data regarding stock into a computerised system
* Keep accurate stock records
* Carry out stock counts as required
* Keep paperwork up to date
* Ensure lifting and manoeuvring of products complies with manual handling procedures
* Operate safely in accordance with health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure safety of yourself and others
* Handle hazardous materials appropriately (training provided)
* Keep work areas clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
* Make recommendations to improve efficiency and add value
* Contribute productively and consistently manage tasks
Knowledge and skills
* Apply previous work experience and logic to the role
* Be accurate and methodical with good numeracy and IT skills
* Have good communication skills
* Plan and organise workload
* Accurately complete paperwork and count stock items

* Understanding of health and safety requirements

Qualifications
* Must be prepared to obtain a forklift truck license if you don’t already have one (training provided)
