Programme Scheduler - Sizewell C Morson Edge is proud to be working in partnership with EDF to support the delivery of Sizewell C (SZC) - one of the most significant and complex infrastructure projects currently underway in the UK. We are now seeking an experienced Programme Scheduler to join the Project Controls function and play a key role in shaping the successful delivery of this nationally critical project. Project Context Sizewell C will comprise two UK EPR nuclear reactors, located on the Suffolk coast near Leiston. Once operational, SZC will generate 3.2GW of low-carbon electricity, supplying around 7% of the UK's current demand for at least 60 years and supporting up to 70,000 jobs across the supply chain. The project benefits from a robust Regulated Asset Base (RAB) funding model, comprehensive Government support, and a proven delivery approach based on the Hinkley Point C reference design. This replication strategy, alongside an established supply chain, significantly reduces construction and delivery risk. The Role The Programme Scheduler will sit within the SZC Project Controls Centre of Excellence, supporting one of the delivery programmes. This team is responsible for providing high-quality, forward-looking performance information that enables informed decision-making at all levels of the project. You will have end-to-end accountability for all schedule-related activities within your assigned programme area, operating in line with the Project Controls Execution Plan, Schedule Functional Guidelines and SZC governance arrangements. The role requires a proactive, detail-driven professional who can both assure and challenge schedule outputs, while continuously driving improvements in planning and performance. Key Responsibilities Full ownership of programme-level schedule management, ensuring alignment with SZC's integrated schedule hierarchy Assurance and contractual compliance of supply chain schedules, including forensic schedule analysis and change assessment Coordination across Project Controls disciplines to deliver integrated performance and management information Production of high-quality schedule reporting, including: Variance analysis Forecasts to complete Baseline and performance reporting Critical path and schedule narrative ("cause, effect, mitigation") Supporting the Programme PCM and PMO Schedule Lead with progress updates and performance insight Leading and facilitating schedule reviews, deep dives and assurance workshops with suppliers and stakeholders Managing and developing schedulers within the programme area (Senior, Intermediate and Junior levels) Acting as a senior interface with internal leadership and external partners Championing best practice and helping position SZC as an industry exemplar in schedule management About You You will bring experience from large, complex infrastructure or major programme environments, with a deep understanding of integrated scheduling and Project Controls management information. Essential Experience & Skills Proven experience as a Programme Scheduler, Schedule Lead or Project Controls Manager on major projects Expert knowledge of planning and scheduling principles Advanced user of Primavera P6 Experience with Acumen Fuse or equivalent schedule quality tools Strong understanding of: Schedule hierarchy and integration Schedule change and impact analysis QSRA Construction and design processes CDM requirements and schedule implications Strong commercial and contractual awareness, particularly NEC and FIDIC Ability to develop schedules from first principles and rigorously interrogate supplier programmes Confident communicator, able to distil complex schedule data into clear strategic messages for senior leadership Proven experience managing teams within a matrix delivery environment Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as engineering, construction, project management, finance or business analysis Desirable Experience in the nuclear sector Membership or certification with AACE, PMI, APM or similar Experience with Power BI or other reporting and analytics tools Exposure to additional planning tools (e.g. MS Project, ProjectWise)
