We are currently seeking a Commercial Solar PV Electrician for a permanent role working across commercial sites in the South of England. This position focuses on the electrical installation, inspection and testing of Solar PV systems on commercial properties. Role Overview
1. As a Commercial Solar PV Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation, inspection and testing of Solar PV systems across commercial sites. The Commercial Solar PV Electrician will ensure all systems are installed safely, efficiently and in line with current electrical regulations.
2. The role will involve working as part of a dedicated engineering team and attending sites across the region, with occasional travel and overnight stays when required.
Key Responsibilities:
3. Electrical installation of commercial Solar PV systems
4. Inspection, testing and commissioning of installations
5. Carrying out electrical works in line with industry regulations and safety standards
6. Working closely with site teams and engineers on renewable energy projects
7. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within project timescales
8. Providing professional communication with clients and site managers when required
We are looking for a Commercial Solar PV Electrician who has:
9. City & Guilds Level 3 qualified Electrician (apprentice trained)
10. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
11. ECS Gold Card (JIB) or equivalent
12. Experience working on commercial electrical installations
13. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
14. Good communication and teamwork abilities
15. Full UK driving licence
16. Willingness to travel and stay away when required
Desirable Experience:
17. 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification
18. IPAF or PASMA certification
19. Previous Solar PV experience (training can be provided)

Location & Coverage:
This role covers commercial sites across the South of England. Travel will be required, with occasional overnight stays depending on project location.
