An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Registration Officers to join The Registration Service at Hampshire County Council. We are recruiting for the following positions; 1 x permanent full time and 1 x temporary (12 months) part time.
Hampshire Registration Service is an innovative and forward‑thinking organisation, currently delivering in excess of 10,000 birth registrations, 10,750 death registrations, 11,900 notices of marriage / civil partnership (CP) and 6,000 ceremonies each year.
The Role
The day‑to‑day work will require you to register Births, Deaths and take Notices of Marriage / Civil Partnership (CP), register Marriage and CP ceremonies, Citizenship ceremonies and other non‑statutory ceremonies.
What you’ll do
You will be committed to delivering a high quality, customer focused, frontline service, with good communication skills and empathy. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is paramount in the day‑to‑day operation of your role. You will have the ability to work well as a member of a small team and demonstrate an understanding of equality and diversity as this relates to the Registration Service.
