Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024 BioNow Business Growth Award Winner 2024 The Opportunity: We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team who will be responsible for ensuring that the daily production activities are carried out in accordance with current GMP and Health and Safety guidelines. Key Accountabilities Production targets are met through effective scheduling of resources and equipment. Developing relationships, lines of communication and working in harmony with other internal departments. Responsible for decision making in the production areas, with reference to the wider operations group and/or quality where appropriate. Providing an environment where continuous improvement ideas are welcomed within the team to generate lean production Conduct manufacturing investigations, apply corrective and preventative actions, support and implement changes via a change control process. Training requirements are established, and time is given in order that training is executed and documented so that all staff within the production team meet their full potential. Continuous monitoring of all activities in the production environment to ensure compliance with the requirements of regulatory and legislative standards. To ensure that documentation is current, reflective of processes, meets cGMP and EHS standards To conduct batch documentation review and ensure that the team work towards right first time. Equipment and team are in a state of audit readiness at all times Provide first line leadership to the production team in regards to daily activity, ensuring good communication methods are applied to enable the smooth running of the team. Conduct 1:1’s, return to work activities and monitor teams performance. Skills, Qualifications and Experience Essential To be successful in this role, applicants need to have the following essential skills and experience: Experience of working in a highly regulated production environment Excellent interpersonal skills – communication, natural leadership, collaborating with others, conflict management and resolution skills Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work in a methodical manner and plan appropriately Sound judgement and decision making High attention to detail Educated to secondary school level Desirable Experience in leading teams in a production environment, ideally in the food or pharmaceutical industry First line leader qualification such as NVQ/ILM Do you want to feel inspired every day?
