A well-appointed rehabilitation centre in Rustington, West Sussex, catering to an average of 50 customers daily. We offer breakfast, lunch, and night service, providing a good amount of hospitality. This is a 52-week contract operating 7 days a week, with shifts ranging from morning to evening. Contracts can be full-time, part-time, or casual. Benefits include free on-site parking and a free meal on duty.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly team at our prestigious contracts in Rustington.
Role responsibilities:
* Serve clients during breakfast, lunch, or dinner service.
* Assist in setting up the dining area for service.
* Prepare food following hygiene and safety standards.
* Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
* Clear and store away food, beverages, or equipment after use.
* Restock supplies during service to ensure smooth operation.
* Operate cleaning and dishwashing equipment properly.
* Perform cleaning and hygiene duties as required.
* Engage with customers and staff professionally.
General responsibilities:
* Adhere to policies, procedures, and legislation to promote professionalism and flexibility.
* Wear a neat and clean uniform at all times.
* Conduct food temperature checks and other safety checks.
* Follow management requests and report hazards promptly.
Personal skills and attributes:
* Experience in catering and customer service environments.
* Teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
* Impeccable personal presentation and hygiene; Food hygiene certificate preferred.
* Adaptability, reliability, honesty, and customer-focused attitude.
* Willingness to learn and take responsibility.
* Ability to lift, carry, and push moderately heavy items.
* Good verbal and written English skills.
* Experience in food preparation or customer service is a plus.
