With our recent £1 million investment, our Ellon facility is now a Centre of Excellence, providing cutting-edge support for electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and turbo-compressors. We're expanding our capabilities, and we're looking for a skilled Gas Compressor Technician to join our team.
As a Gas Compressor Technician, you will be working directly on the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of gas compressors. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers' equipment is serviced to the highest standards, meeting industry specifications and maintaining operational efficiency.
Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities
* Disassembling, inspecting, and rebuilding gas compressors and their components
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults in a variety of compressor types
* Performing precision fitting, machining, and assembly work as required
* Performing dynamic and functional testing on overhauled equipment
* Collaborating with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with HSE requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience in the overhaul and maintenance of gas compressors or similar rotating equipment
* Proficiency in mechanical fitting, assembly, and fault diagnosis
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
* Good communication skills and a proactive attitude to teamwork
* Awareness of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
