Job Description We are looking for a keen and ambitious Registered Care Manager with a significant background in care to join our team in Weston super Mare. As our Registered Care Manager, you will be responsible for the growth and development of our care service ensuring the delivery of outstanding quality care. The role is based at our office on Worle High Street and is a full time position of 40 hours per week. The working hours are 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. Salary £30,000 - £37,000 per year depending on experience. In this varied and challenging role, you will be involved in converting new client enquiries, care planning and conducting risk assessments ensuring compliance to relevant legal and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for managing a team making sure that exceptional service is delivered to our clients and workloads are managed accordingly. Job Purpose The Registered Care Manager is to be accountable for the management of day to day running of Home Instead operations, ensuring compliance with all governing body requirements and legislation relevant to the service. The Role Work closely with the Franchise Owner to coordinate the development of a high quality private domiciliary care service for people in the local area. Promote the highest standards of care and service with a focus on person centred care. Manage the process of client acquisition from initial contact to conversion adhering to company policy. Carry out care planning and conduct risk assessments ensuring compliance to relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Ensure successful operation of quality control systems and performing quality assurance visits for clients. Continually reviewing and improving processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is always being delivered. Effectively managing complaints and incidents, carrying out investigations relating to the quality of the service and using those findings to initiate improvements. Ensure relevant reports are forwarded to relevant bodies e.g. CQC, Care Inspectorate, Care Inspectorate Wales, The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority and Safeguarding. Promote a positive culture in line with the Home Instead ethos and values. Oversee governance of any delegated healthcare activities, ensuring staff are trained, competent, and working within the scope of relevant professional and organisational guidelines. Governance oversight of delegated tasks (e.g. wound care, PEG, catheter care) Ensuring Care Professionals are trained, competent, and working safely Liaison and relationship management with the delegating health professionals Responsibility to act as (or support) the Designated Safeguarding Lead Oversight of safeguarding procedures Liaison with the Local Authority in any safeguarding investigations Knowledge of the Care Act and Making Safeguarding Personal Network in the local community and via digital media to raise awareness of the service. Developing relationships with case managers, ICB leads, discharge teams, etc. Supporting strategic growth in areas like delegated healthcare and complex care at home Representing the service in system-level forums (e.g. provider networks, MDTs) Provide inspired leadership to the team making sure that exceptional service is delivered to the clients and workloads are managed accordingly ensuring safe staffing levels. Support the recruitment and training of Care Professionals and the office team. Take part in disciplinary investigations, interviews and meetings following company policy and in conjunction with advice from the HR Provider. Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to by all employees. Support with the management of payroll and budgets. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of data across all relevant platforms. Keep up to date with changes in legislation and regulations. Proactively identify own development areas in line with business objectives and the duties of your role, taking action within a reasonable timeframe. Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality and Diversity Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery. Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.
