Overview
Hours: 37 per week, Mon–Fri. Some meetings outside regular hours may be required. Bury Legal Services plays a vital role in supporting the Council's vision for the borough. We are looking for a Lawyer to join our Economies and Environment Team to cover maternity leave for up to twelve months and contribute to delivering high quality legal services to our client departments.
We are committed to developing our teams, including apprenticeships, and you will be helping supervise junior members of the team. We value collaborative working styles and client-focused service.
Responsibilities
* Lead upon and manage a variety of property matters alongside some planning and highways matters.
* Utilise experience of property transactions including sales, purchases and commercial leases while prioritising a full personal caseload within these areas of law.
* Assist in supervising junior team members and contribute to developing the skills of our legal staff.
