What you will do:
* Carry out inspections of private sector housing to ensure compliance with housing legislation and health and safety standards.
* Identify and assess housing hazards using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
* Take enforcement action where necessary to address non-compliance and improve housing conditions.
* Manage housing compliance projects, including HMO licensing and related regulatory work.
* Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports to support enforcement activities and policy development.
* Work collaboratively with council departments and external stakeholders to promote safe and secure housing standards.
Requirements:
* Experience in private sector housing enforcement and housing-related legislation.
* Strong knowledge of HHSRS and housing compliance procedures.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider team.
