Senior Pharmacy Technician

Are you a registered technician looking for a new challenge and a chance to expand your knowledge and experience? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic, forward‑thinking Dispensary Team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, conscientious and ambitious pharmacy technician to participate in and support the provision, development and leadership of our well‑established team.
Full time, part time and flexible working considered. Interviews will take place on Tuesday 31st March.
Main duties of the job
You will undertake a wide range of tasks within the dispensary and take a lead in a specific area.
You will join a progressive and well respected pharmacy service which is providing and developing leading‑edge patient focused care.

Person Specification
Experience
* At least 2 years' experience in an acute hospital setting in an 'extended role' including accuracy checking.
* Experience of direct patient contact.
* Experience of working in a busy dispensary environment.
* Experience of hospital pharmacy environment.
* Experience of checking responsibility / accredited checking qualification.
Skills and Knowledge
* Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
* Ability to work under stress.
* Clear ideas about how practice can improve patient care.
* Evidence of CPD.
Qualifications
* Level 3 NVQ or BTEC equivalent.
* Registered with the GPhC.
