Due to the expansion of our Community Dermatology Service, we are looking to recruit a Dermatology Specialist to join our team.
The Community Dermatology Service receives referrals that would traditionally have been referred into secondary care and provides a streamlined, responsive service for our patients across the East Riding of Yorkshire. Duties will include advice and guidance and triage through e-RS and provision of some face to face appointments for our patients.
There can be flexibility on number of sessions offered but ideally we would prefer 4 sessions per month and this can include weekend working.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job would be to provide triage for our referrals received via e-RS with appropriate urgency and direction adhering to NICE guidelines and patient experience. In addition an Advice and Guidance service will be provided to support our local GP practices.
At the clinics we will need you to provide assessment, investigation and treatment for dermatology patients of all ages and to maintain a high quality, accessible, service with consultant oversight which delivers excellent outcomes meeting the needs of patients in line with NICE guidance and best practice.
Refer to hospital only those cases which cannot be seen in the community, including acutely unwell patients and those with diagnostic uncertainty and those requiring treatment provided only in the hospital setting.
