We're Hiring: Product Development Assistant
Location: On-site at Melody Maison HQ, Harworth, Doncaster
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

We’re looking for a Product Development Assistant to join our dynamic team and support the creation and development of our beautiful homeware collections. From sourcing and sampling to coordinating with suppliers and preparing products for launch, you’ll play a key role in bringing our ideas to life.
About the Role:
As our Product Development Assistant, you’ll work closely with our Buying and Marketing teams to:
* Assist in the development and sourcing of new products across home, décor, and furniture ranges
* Coordinate samples, maintain records, and help manage timelines for product launches
* Communicate with suppliers from overseas
* Track trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to help shape new ideas
* Support with product photography and listings where required
* Keep our product information organised and up to date
Key Responsibilities:
* Management of the Look Books for future launch’s
* Turning Look Books into real life product collections
* Communicating with factories & suppliers to source the perfect product (new and existing)
* Creating, amending and updating spec sheets
* Reviewing product samples
* Ensure pre & mass production content from factories aligns with spec sheets sent
* Trend & Product research to inform new product sourcing
* Competitor analysis
* Updating the products critical path
* Assisting in the listing of all new products
* Booking and setting up photoshoots for our photographer
* Press outreach which includes creating press releases, writing blogs and forming relationships with journalists
* Presenting weekly your achievements, ideas and successes to the senior management team
What We’re Looking For:
* A creative mindset with a strong interest in interiors, trends, and product design
* Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
* Strong communication and time management abilities
* Previous experience in a product or buying assistant role is essential

Salary dependant on experience £26,000 - £30,000 pro rata based on 37.5 hours per week
